Design Build Opportunity Zone Fund project.  Assured team was involved from conception to completion and completed full entitlement package through construction.  Project consisted of a block and wood framed building built in 1964 that operated as former bank before being shutter in approximately 2012.  The building sat vacant and continued to be a haven for rodents, birds, homeless as well as a community eye sore for nearly 8 years.  Upon acquisition, the building was full of asbestos and posed many challenges in construction and renovations due to the age of the structure.  The Assured team worked hand in hand with Ownership to salvage the mason and concrete section of the structure and maintain the aesthetic appeal of the 1964 building while constructing to current building codes which included the addition of fire sprinklers, full electrical, HVAC and plumbing upgrade to building.  Site had additional challenges with access, staging and security.
